| BROADRIPPLE WINDWORKS is based on the Northside of Indianapolis in the Hoosier State and produces kinetic wind sculptures. They are manufactured from copper, brass and more lately with dichroic glass accents. They are produced in very limited quantities, approximately 2 or 3 per year. They are completely hand crafted by Griff. There are no machines involved except for a polishing/buffing wheel. All the parts are cut, finished, soldered, polished and then clear coated by hand. The sculptures are mounted on top of the base pole with double sealed bearings so they can rotate in the lightest of breezes. The complete sculpture assemblies are then mounted in concrete for stability in the strongest of winds. Please take a look around the site. |
